We want to ensure you have the best experience possible when using our ComfyUI service. However, we understand that the rapid evolution of ComfyUI and its nodes can sometimes lead to challenges. Here’s why you might see multiple versions of ComfyUI available on our platform and how you can choose the right one for your needs.
Why Multiple Versions of ComfyUI?
- Continuous Upgrades and Enhancements: ComfyUI and ComfyUI nodes are constantly being updated and improved. New versions often include new features, bug fixes, and performance enhancements that can significantly enhance your workflow.
- Compatibility Issues: While new versions bring exciting improvements, they may also introduce changes that are not compatible with workflows created in older versions. This means that if you switch to a newer version, some of your existing workflows might not function as expected. Conversely, if you use a very old ComfyUI version and install a new node like IPAdapter Plus, you may find the node does not work. Therefore, we offer multiple versions to help you use ComfyUI more easily.
How RunComfy Releases Versions of ComfyUI
We regularly release new versions based on updates to ComfyUI and its nodes. The version names are based on the release date. Currently, there are three versions available:
- RC 24.05.16.0 (Released on May 16, 2024)
- RC 24.04.13.0 (Released on April 13, 2024)
- RC 24.03.28.0 (Released on March 28, 2024)
If you want to experience the latest features of ComfyUI and ComfyUI nodes, choose the latest date version 24.05.16.0, which we also call "Beta".
For a relatively stable version, choose the second most recent date version 24.04.13.0, referred to as "Current".
If you have workflows that work on an earlier version, choose the oldest date version 24.03.28.0, known as "Old".
We list the preloaded nodes for each version. Click here to view.
After you launch your machine, you can see the version displayed in the upper left corner.
